Here is some more stuff on Sumito. It looks like Sumito would have to
be a regular skill, with concentrations in the dances and specialization
for the individual steps.
>From The 97th Step, by Steve Perry:
The main dance of Sumito, the 97 steps, is composed of an interconnected
series of 19 shorter dances. These movements (sometimes called kata)
range from a single step to as many as 10. While Diamond is credited
with the creation of Sumito, it was in fact the original Pen who aligned
and formalized the dances, and who gave them their somewhat colorful
names. In order, the dances are:
1) The Thousand Klick Journey
The Flower Unfolding
Dark Shroud
Twisted Star
Snake & Spider
Magician's Hands
Cold Fire Burns Bright
Helicopter
Laughing Stone
10) Fleur de Lance
Bamboo Pond
Arc of Air
The Braided Laser
Sword of the Sun
The Neon Chain
The Vacuum Cage
Steel Circle
Spiral
19) Mimosa Sleeps Softly

So what do you all think? About the original game stats for Sumito,
that is. I want to try to incorporate a LOW level of this into one of my
new PCs. Thanx.
