I guess I should note that our groups (already up to 4 members!) ideas
borrow a LOT of ideas from Earthdawn and a lot of the "origins" of the
varous supernaturals are heavily tied to that. We do se a lot of WW stuff to
give a reasoning to the SR magic system (which are amazingly compatible with
a little thought). It even explains why you have petrification spells but no
"Change to Elf" spells. Mix in some Earthdawn and stir well...

That will piss off some people no doubt. But believe me - the Horrors make
great "usual suspects' in this case. And some of the ideas we've had are
spooky cool :)

The best part of this conversion is we can drop the hokiest parts of the WoD
and keep the best. No Banes possessing cans of Pepsi in THIS setting. This
is a TOTAL conversion, not just converting the target number over - since
that would make no sense in context. So there will be backstory, mysteries,
and an specifi eye to making sure everything works together. How does
Thaumaturgy work in SR? Got that answered right here. As much as possible we
use SR rules or adaptions thereof.

In fact, for some that care about such things we've got some ideas on
bringing some ED stuff into an "updated" form. Namely Horror Marks ;)
muhahahah A Earthdawn to Shadowrun conversion may also be in the works....
so if anyones interested in that let us know ;)

We've thrown out a lot of the WoD "backstory" because frankly is sucks.
We've kept the trappings of course, but everyting is much more "low key". As
Shane put it "You won't be turning over a rock to find 2 Mages, a Changeling
and a Werewolf". So if you're expecting a supernatural around every corner
like in the WW books you'll be disappointed.

So far this is what is being worked on:
1) Mage (heavily modified backstory, more guidelines on Effects)
2) Vampire (warring with the "fake" SR vampires)
3) Werewolf (we''ll even have something like "net spirits")
4) Changeling: The Dreaming (dunno, looks to be the hardest conversion)
5) Mummy (the Immortal Humans are back and looking to kick some hoop!)
6) Wraith (will tie in closely to the modified cosmology, as will
Changeling)
7) Hunter (maybe)

All of these settings will fall under the "Grand Unified Theory" and will
even incorporate a metaplot if we can manage it. This will not be your
daddies World of Darkness.

There's a war out there, old friend, a world war. And it's not about who's
got the most bullets, it's about who controls the information. What we see
and hear, how we work, what we think, it's all about the information!

Actually, I'm in the process of creating a "guide" for using Horrors in
Shadowrun, based on its necessity in my current campaign. Certain lesser
Horrors are already complete, as well as a number of Horror powers. Of
course, a certain amount of artistic license is included, to account for the
7000+ year time differential.
