ARE THEY GONE YET?
Well, a couple of weeks back when I started my game, I said once I
got things up and running, I'd open the slots to accept a few more
players interrested. So, consider the slots now officially open.
I'm looking for TWO (2) more players to join the game if they're
interrested. Now that I've gone thru and gotten a handle on the other
players characters, and designed storylines around them, I've found I
need at least two more characters to tell certain parts of the story
that need telling. There are three major plotlines going in the game,
and they [and the players] may intertwine on occasion [some already
have].
This offer is open for Forty Eight (48) hours as of this posting,
to hopefully give a few people a chance who got shut out of the first
runnning. Send a synopsis of your character [no need to crank up a
complete character, if you don't want or don't have the time too] to MY
e-mail address [NOT the list, please. I don't want to add more OT stuff
to the board.] and I will review them ALL and get back to you.
I am looking for the following criteria:

All characters must be natives and/or live in Britain.

Character Race[use the More Metahumans rule in SR2]

Troll
Standard
Formorian

Elf
Standard
African Variant

Ork
Standard
Ogre [European Variant]

Dwarf
Standard
Japanese Variant

Possible birth/starting for the characters:

Troll
Anywhere in Britain. Places with a higher than national
average for trolls are Cornwall, Scottish Highlands, and the Hebridies
Islands.

Dwarf
Anywhere in Britain. Places with a higher than national
average for dwarves are the Scottish Low Lands, and the
Newcastle/Tynesprawl area.

Elf
Anywhere in Britain. Places with a higher than national
average for elves is Wales.

Orks (Ogres, etc.)
Anywhere in Britain. Places with a higher than national
average for orks are Merseysprawl (Liverpool/Manchester), Newcastle and
Tynesprawl

Britain has the blood of many people coursing thru their veins.
Asiatics from Africa and the Indian subcontinent, Chinese (especially
after Hong Kong went over to communist China in 1997), Jews, over half a
million blacks from the West Indies, half a million Pakistanis, nearly
three quarters of a million East Indians, not to mention Russians,
Poles, etc.

Character Archetypes Needed

Decker

Street Samurai/ Physical Adept

Druid (either hermetic or shamanic)

Voudoun houngan (London and Merseysprawl have a large Carribbean
population.)

Mage (hermetic only; I've got PLENTY of shamanics)

Any other particulars, just e-mail me, and I'll let you know. Thanks for
listening.

I would be interested in playing in your PBEM. Just a few questions
before I send my character outline (and I can also send in the actual
numbers as well). I would like to play the hermetic mage, if it is still
available. Would I be able to have custom spells? (Ones that my
character has created) What year is it in your campaign? Do I need to
play a metahuman, or am I allowed to play a normal human? Well, just let
me know, and I'll have my character in. Thanks in advance....

In answer to your questions:

1) The date of the campaign is 22 April, 2058, Monday.

2)I would need to see any custom designed spells before I could make a
ruling on them. I'm familiar with the spell design formuli in Grimmy 2nd
Ed, and try to keep up with new spells posted in the modules and so
forth, so it shouldn't be a problem.

3) I'd really like for any other players to do ANY one of the metatypes
I listed [Almost 95% of the other characters are human, and I'd like a
little variety and a different perspective]

4) At this point, I don't think I need another mage [because of all the
bloody shamans I've got :-], BUT I'm listening to Clannad, and in a
reasonable mood, so just send a precis on the character, and I'll
consider it. People should play what they WANT to play.

5) Erhmmm...can't think of a 5. Oh, well, talk to you later.

Can you guys take this to private e-mail please?

Because:

1) It is OT. OT is bad. :)

2) I am afraid something will be said about the campaign, and I
don't want my fun to be ruined. If sending this to the list was
accidental, please ignore the above.

Thanks!

Okay, here is a character concept. This character is fairly powerful,
initiated with force points, layered armor, etc. If that doesn't jive with
the power level of the game or you don't want to use those rules, no prob,
just tell me.
Oh, yeah, I used the physical mage from Awakenings, but I guess I'd be okay
with a straight physad (though I'd much rather this). And, I used Companion
character creation rules with Edges/Flaws, because you mentioned the
Companion races, so I figured that would be okay. Any problems, just tell me,
thanks,

Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="Hemish.txt"

Hemish is a big red-headed man, a Fomori, recently come from the
highlands of Scotland. He has been regaled with the tales of his
ancestors fight with the English, and is now in London, having a
little fun with the buggers. The reason he left is quite simple,
while he was of help on his parents' (also Fomori) farm, he simply
ate more than he produced. While it was difficult for him to leave
his family and especially his uncle who has shown him the martial
way, is was a simple decision of either starve his family, or go his
own way. Hemish has just recently arrived in London, carrying
almost nothing but the clothes/armor on his back and his chip
library (all gifts of his uncle). He found the grenade on a group
of gangers who thought they had the jump on him, and he used
some cred off of them to rent a little coffin to sleep in at night.

Hemish plays the part of a dumb, fun-loving troll, and he hides his
above-average intellect, using it as an edge against those who would
underestimate him. He also hides his hermetic powers, using those
to suprise the unexpecting -- how many trolls with big swords are
going to cast a spell? His powers are not strong (because of the
low force and the limit of 2 magic pool to spell success test), but
the suprise with which he employs them more than makes up for that.

Hemish has a hankering for the past (specifically anti-Imperial
sentiment of his Scottish Ancestorts -- Sir Bruce and the Battle of
Brockuburn -- has seen too many Braveheart movies as a young Fomori).

Two things
1). He asked that people who respond do so using his e-mail account, not
the list.
which would avoid
2) Power gamer/munchkin. What kinda "concept" is "fairly powerful"?
Unbelievable.

as an aside, this is my longest post in this list.

Sorry about sending to the list, I thought I'd switched the addy, but I
haven't got much sleep recently and I guess I missed it. I just woke up,
nice and refreshed after having a couple of finals and a paper in two days,
and realized what I did.

Also, concept not powerful -- result was.

Again, very sorry.
