Wait a minute here ... Are we all a bunch of sexists? No one has had any
women yet.

Street Sam; Why not have Cynthia Rothrock? (or maybe as a P.A.?)
Decker; the girl from Hackers
Corp; Gillian Anderson (I think she would be one way scary villian)
Rigger; Gotta have a rigger
Mage; Melissa Joan Hart (just kidding ... sorry ...No... not the carp AIEEEE)

Part of the point of Shadowrun is to scramble up todays social
conventions. So just because we think something would be odd, that would
be exactly why it should be that way in the
movie/story/novel/adventure/yadda... One can still be shocking without
having large amounts of pointless violence and sex. Now pointed violence
heh heh heh.

Anyway that's my thoughts on the matter

[Snip thoughts on women for the movie]

I would definately want to see a couple of women in the film... Just
please, no one mention Pamela Anderson... She's only got two things going
for her, and neither one is talent. Seen Barb Wire?

Well... Johnny <whatever>monic (I still cant spell it and cant be
bothered) was pretty much a male typecast there... you did have the token
female... and at least she played a better role than Keanu did... but
there was stuff all otherwise...

Hmmm Cindy Crawford from "Fair Game" and Elle have had some moviemaking
experiance... for that matter why dont we get demi moore to do a strip
halfway thru.....

heheh Well... token feminism is going a bit too far... they dont have to
be georgus women... well not if they're in the slums anyway....
Hmmm maybe that one who plays opposite Christian Slater in Broken Arrow....
she didnt do too bad... if you can get her to stop ducking all the time...

When was the last time you saw a typical-looking woman (I mean looking
like the people you run into on the street every day) in a movie, as
opposed to the Cindy Crawford/Pamela Anderson type? If there were going
to be female squatters in the movie, there would be two possibilities:

1) they're only there to provide a backdrop, in which case they look like
the old woman from Monty Python And The Holy Grail (the one that Arthur
and the other knight say "ni" to), or

2) they become main characters, and this means they'll look like shit when
first encountered, but then they take a shower and get some new clothes,
and suddenly look like movie stars. (Sort of like the typical
girl-with-glasses -- looks like a nerd/trainspotter, until she takes the
glasses off.) And naturally they fall in love with the male stars, or the
other way around, then they prevent the Evil Corporation(tm) from carrying
out its Even More Evil(R) plans, and they live happily ever after :)
