MTV must be yet another American invention that Europeans have refined to
a great extent...

(Don't the poor Yankees get Zig and Zag? Oh man, just picture having
Beavis & Butthead as your sole source of comedy.)

Don't think so :) Let's prize ourselves lucky :)

Zig & Zag is better than Beavis & Butt-Head, IMHO.

Zig and Zag? Nope.. I'd like to be enlightened, though.

As for Beavis & Butthead, I stay away from that at all costs. The
_ULTIMATE_ source of comedy is Mystery Science Theater 3000.

extremely BAD movies. Highly sophisticated!) >8->

Apologies for the following in advance :)

>Zig and Zag? Nope.. I'd like to be enlightened, though.

The Zig & Zag Show is an "alien tv show" if you believe what MTV tells you
:) Actually, it's two fluffy puppets, a tan one (Zig) and a red one with
green spots (Zag). Both have large round eyes and antenna-like things on the
sides of their heads.
They're brothers, Zig is obviously the less intelligent and much more
childish one of the two, while Zag is the Mr. "I'm Up There With The
Stars"-type who's not too happy with having his brother around all the time.
Their tv show basically consists of all kinds of sketches starring them
together with humans (they're large enough to wear jackets, hats,
sunglasses, and so on), linked together by Zig and Zag presenting the show.
Also in every episode is a top 5 videos, with some or another silly theme:
"Top 5 Toilet Videos," "Top 5 Poodle Videos," "Top 5 Underwater
Videos," and
so on. The sketches are either just plain silly or parodies of other tv
shows or movies, like Pulp Fishing ("A film by Quenzig Zagantino"),plus
there's a number of regularly-returning sketches. The Rev. Theodore M.L.K.
Groove is one of these (that's where this all started, wasn't it? :), while
others are "Zag's Chat-Up Line," where you can learn how to chat up girls
with the most cliche lines you'll ever hear (and naturally the woman in the
sketch always falls for Zag); Zonco advertisements, which tries to sell you
stuff like they do in those 30-minute commercials, but they sell things like
dead animal telephones, 'I Hate My Neighbours' CDs, band-aids worn by
celebrities, and so on.

Well, what else can I add? It might not sound too interesting from my
narative, but I highly recommend anyone to go watch it if you get the
chance... So far, there've been 12 episodes made I think, and I bet a new
series is coming at the end of the year.

You, like me, are not American, thus do not find the show reminiscent of
daily life :-)
