Hey! I just received a digest, and it's not sent after midnight! Yay!

About the 80s: It'll probably be back in vogue in the new millenium. Which
means that if fashion is really cyclic to the style of two generations ago,
2060 should be like 2040 like 2020 like 2000 like 1980. Unless you're an
elf, in which case you may be stuck in the 2010s, which is like the 1970s.

Are digests still daily then? I've seen some lists where digests get
kicked out after x amount of posts or 24 hrs, whatever comes first.

It depends on the list software. I get a digest on a different list and I
asked what determines the frequency, because I was getting some monster size
digests (they are hard to go through in my lunch hour). They use LISTSERV
and the digests are set to be distributed once a day at
midnight, but it will distribute a "special cut" if the number of lines in
the digest approaches 1500.

From what I was told, you can >reduce< the limit, meaning it'll make special
cuts more often, but you can't raise the number of digests. Daily is as
often as it'll get.
