Hiya!
I know this may sound funny, but a mage in our game wishes to use two
stim patches. I know you have to make a magic test against the level of
the patch. My question is, since they are taken together and are dosages
of medicine, wouldn't they be cumulative? By this I mean if the mage
takes two LV4 stim patches, would he make two magic tests against tn4 or
one magic test against tn8? I would figure that the meds would be
cumulative (like taking two aspirin or something) so only one test against
the total stim level would be made. Let me know what you all think.

Thanks,
Glenn

According to an optional rule in "Awakenings", total the ratings of the
stim patches used in a 24 hour period, and use that total in the magic
test.

Someone asked Paul Hume this basic question a while back and he said to
consider all stim patches within a 24 hour period to be one big stim patch.
Basicly, the TN is 4 for the 1st lvl4 patch, TN8 for the 2nd, etc....

Otherwise, you could use lvl 1 stim patches all day long.

By rights, you take two tests at tn4, but there's something in Awakenings
'bout this... If I remember, it's you take the tests at the SUM of the
ratings you've had in the last hour (or day). So it'd be one test at tn4,
and one at tn8.

Taking two aspirin is represented by using a rating 8 patch, instead of 2
rating 4s.
