Correct. In third edition, use normal dodge. In 2nd edition it didn't
say so your guess is as good as mine. (In fact, the same as mine.).

True. If you want a house rule on the subject, Gurth's suggestion was
good. To hit you need more successes than the opponent has impact
armor plus any dodge successes. This would be with a narcoject or
squirt gun. With weapons like thrown knives etcetera, it could be
handled lke a normal attack, and if you stage the damage to nil and
then one more step, you're safe, else you got a nasty little scratch
and ZZZZzzzzzzz........ or you could rule you couldn't use narcoject
on such devices, only in a dart/squirt gun.
