In SRII under spirit combat, towards the bottom it says something like
"against normal damaging powers or combats spirits use normal combat
rules" I've probably remembered it completely wrong as it was not a very
clear sentence but I had the impression that they used (str)M stun,
if they have a physical presence and can apply force to someone then
they can enter combat, maybe not very well but they have enough other
uses to satisfy my shaman (It never actually came up as I always found
more useful ways of using services)

SR2 page 143, directly under the header Spirit Combat: "Spirits generally
obey the same combat rules as regular characters. Individual powers will
vary the number of base dice used in the attack, what the Target Number is,
and whether there is a Damage or Spell Resistance Test involved."
I'd say, then, that nature spirits can attack as normal anyone else can,
doing (str)M Stun, and using their Reaction as their "skill."

Aha, so it does. I never noticed that before, thanks guys. BTW, does
somebody's mailer chop off the ends of the headers or something? Because all
the headers seem to be truncated after a day or so.

Oh, no. Its me! I've been found out :)

Yep, my ancient mailer only lets me have subject headings of 14 characters
anything longer is removed. why?
