Ok, folks...

I'm new to Shadowrun, just picked up the Shadowrun main book and
Grimoire. I have a question on Nature Spirits. Elementals are nicely
ID'd given force and such, but it doesn't list any stats for Nature
Spirits, and really doesn't describe the abilities... Can anyone help?

Sure it does - in the main book look in the critter section.

In the Grimoire There is a blurb on Great spirits in the and
some other spirit info.

If a druid has to find a special plant or its roots and conjures
a spirit to help him, does the spirit *know* where exactly the
wanted plant would grow? Or does it have to search for it?
I would say it knows because I assumed a spirit knows its domain
by heart, but then again there are really many plants in a nature
spirit's domain...so I want to hear your opinion.

It searches for it. Although, I noticed that Forest, Mist, and Storm
Spirits don't have the search power. (In both SR2 and SR3) I wonder if
that's an error. IIRC, it isn't stated explicitly that Nature Spirits
have to search until the Grimmoire (Where it tells you how to calculate
base time and T# based on the area searched.).

If you summoned a spirit of the land I would assume they would know. Although,
this is a very odd question. I would say that a greater spirit would know for
sure.

How about the "Plain of the Dead?" ;-)

Also, regarding the domain of nature spirits, it is most important for interactive gaming
and storytelling purposes to greatly tailor the form and features of each nature spirit to
the locale from which it is summoned. Each spirit type may offer different attributes and
powers, but even more importantly, each spirit that is summoned has the potential for
excellent story enrichment.

Describe features of its manifest form for the players, each with rich embellishments to
characterize the history of the place. The demeanor of the entity may also reflect the
history of the place, and can be expressed through speech, gestures, and attitudes,
depending on who has resided or what has taken place in the area. It is also a fun
opportunity for GM's to show off their knowledge of trivia in recognizable places.

This is the beauty of nature spirits; they are highly unpredictable and bring a great
chance to bring the fantasy elements of magic into play. Making nature spirits highly
individualized reveals the nature of shamanism and conjures up the depths of the possible
experiences that can occur in a place.

Hey, just because this game isn't from White Wolf it doesn't
mean we have to care only about dice and rules :). He's saying basically
the same thing I was trying to say in the "cave spirit" bit not long
ago, but it's being said in a much better way now :).
