Natural Born Killers, and I am still in awe of this fine piece of directing.
The visual images and symbols are stunning, and although the violence is
shocking to some, I hold this film in very high regard. The script is written
so
deep, that for the first time, I have seen a movie go as deep as a book....
only those incapable of abstract though could contradict me on this point.
The Movie is, however of such a nature that you will love it or hate it, and
I respect both viewpoints. The movie, by showing the glorification of violence
in all of its forms, becomes what it is criticizing, and the irony of that hits
hardest of all.... One point though... Someone said that EVERYONE was bad
in the story. This is not true. The Older American Indian was the only truly
pure figure in the movie, and he was killed by Mickey, making him a Christlike
figure..... One of MANY Biblical references in the plot... but I ramble..
