What are you talking about, there where at least 2 good characters
in it and they were none oher than mickey and mallory themselves (the killers)
aside from the trully cool indian old man.
The way I see it mickey and mallory considered them to be something else
the were no longer part of the human race and therefore did not abide by
the usual conventions we humans use in our everyday contacts.
A human killing an ant does not feel sorrow (well maybe a little)
and does not regrett his action (well not really), thats the way they
saw things. This distorted view of the world was a consequence of their
childhood experiences, one saw his dad blow his brains out and then
grew up in a living hell learning to view himself as a demon, the other
got raped on a regular basis by her father with her mothers acceptance.
People who get treated like that by our cociety will definitelly want nothing
to do with it. This led to their eventual enstrangment and their spectacular
actions.
The old indian was the first and only one to show them that the
human race had to show something worth having. Thats what eventually
changed their minds. IMHO :)
I'd like to hear you comments on this one.

This holds up very well, especially when mallory flips out over mickey
killing him. "He helped us, he was good to us! And you killed him. How could
you!" etc etc.

To whoever posted the message saybing it's very bad: The reason's you
pointed out are what make this movie great. No one really had any redeeming
qualities (except possibly the indian). Everyone was evil/mean/not nice, and
glorified in it. And the audience applauded. The movie succeded at what it
intended. Very well.

Gee, and here I was thinking the movie dealt with the media, and its over
exploitation of criminals and gory stuff like mass murderers and serial
killer types.

Nigel

(I give the movie thumbs up)

Another great movie is Pulp Fiction. I give it 4 - 4&1/2 stars out of 5.
