As was pointed out by others, nowadays magics differs a lot from a world
where magic actually works. I wonder if research is really neccesary.

You are correct. But the problem is that I would like to see a good and
downgraded magic system. When I wrote my earlier post, the subjects of
Crowley and necronomicons and such was very hot. I nearly could hear
people shouting "Satanism". What I tried to point out was that IMHO
these things had nothing to do with shadowrun and had nothing to do on
this list.
One last words on these subjects:
If magic doesn't work why wasting your time on it.
If it works, would you really want to deal with nasty stuff like real
spirits, demons and sanity losing books.
I know I don't. The game Call of t'Chulhu said it all. Use magic and go
insane.
