Hi Chummers,
You guys seem to be having alot of fun trashing the Nega-Mage. From what I
remember the article was pretty precise about the effects of damaging
manpulations in the article says their not affected by magic period. Now go get
your Grimoire, either edition will do, and read the section on Elemental
effects. An Elemental Manipulation spell creates the material out of magic at
the point of target, lets it spray around, and then it ceases to exit. It goes
away because it was always magical and the mage is not sustaining it. Thus
when the material hits the nega-mage's anti-magic field, it ceases to exist and
he takes no damage. Nice and simple.
Now as for them being unbalancing I agree with Jeremy. As long as there is
not a Nega-Mage waiting around every corner, theres no good reason to disallow
them. After all his only advantage is magic doen't effect him. Hell, most
people are more worryed about getting jumped by a Samurai with an assault rifle
then getting blasted by some mage.

See Ya in Shadows,
Jason J Carter
