I've got a question for the group or maybe specifically for Gurth. I
downloaded all the Plastic Warriors files from Gurth's web site, and
since I'm a silly American who's not using A-4 I'm still in the
process of re-formatting. What I've seen so far is great. I'm
wondering though, what's the difference between the Plastic Warriors,
Nagee, and NERPS stuff (if there is any)?

Good luck :)

Let's see...

NAGEE: started (by Jerry Stratton, I believe) somewhere in the mists of
time before I even knew there was an interney. The last issue comes from
1 December 1994, and issue 7 still has not materialized.
The NAGEE focuses on anything the net.SR.community sends in to the editor.
As a result, they can be about anything.

NERPS: started by Rob Hayden, if I'm not mistaken, again before I had net
access. First book (ShadowLore) out in mid-1994; second (Foundations)
followed later in the yeat; third book is still being edited (ShadowLore
II) by J.D. Falk who doesn't need any help but could do with some anyway I
think :) ; fourth book is Edge Runners, edited by Erik Jameson and yours
truly, and came out in 1996. Fifth book (Underworld) is on the way.
NERPS books feature only the things that were posted onto the NERPS list
for inclusion in the books, and follow a certain theme for each book.

Plastic Warriors: started by me, late 1994, when my original idea to make
a SWO Guns-like file sort of went out of hand because I kept adding other
stuff I'd downloaded to it.
I'd like PW to focus on equipment and new rules of all kinds, but it also
includes anything else that gets sent to me, as well as stuff I come
across on the net.

As a bonus....can anyone out there correctly break down the acronyms for
FASA, NAGEE, and NERPS? I know the first two 100% and the last I'm almost
sure of.

I didn't know NAGEE was an acronym or I would have put it in all
caps, but I do know Net Enhancements for Role Playing Shadowrun. I
used to know FASA, something Aeronautics and Space Administration?

If you mean what or where is Freedonia, it was the country that the Marx
Brothers ran in the movie "Duck Soup", i think. I know it was a Marx Bros.
movie.

If you mean where did Mark found the definition, not sure but I have seen it
too.

Nothing Ever Really Pleases Steve/Scott according to the FAQ. There
is a list of acronyms at the end of the ShadowRn FAQ (section 3).
The FASA reference is also in that section of the FAQ..

reference
Neo-Anarchists Guide to Everything Else -- obviously referring from FASA's
Neo-A guides
Net Enhancements for Role-Playing Shadowrun (or anything else I want to
make it stand for :) or were you referring to Nother Ever Really Pleases
Steve/Scott?

Neither do I, but it's what the ShadowRN FAQ says it means. Sam would
refer to Sam Lewis, am I right?
