having to do it so... ecch.. manually. :)

Your welcome!
Those integrated mailers are ok for simple stuff, but for mailing
lists and other volume mail, you should use a dedicated mail package.
If running on a Mac or PC/Windows computer, try Pegasus Mail.
You can get it at http://www.pegasus.usa.com/current.htm .

Also, Eudora Lite 3.0.1 9 (yay, filters!) is now available at
http://www.eudora.com. It's not on par with Pegasus, but
it works on my network (which Pegasus doesn't seem to like
for some reason).

Do they still have a Lite version of Eudora, I downloaded what I thought to
be the Lite edition (i.e., share/freeware version) but I only got the demo
of the Pro version, which stopped working in 30days, (lost filters,
couldn't send or receive mail). Since the Pro version is $90, I decided to
stay with the old Internet Mail. It filters, replies, always "nicknames"
does most of what all the others do, and its free. The quibble I have is
that it doesnt let me know where all the filtered mail was sent, so I have
to manually find it.

It is a Microsoft product, but if it does what I need and is economical,
I'll use it. You can get it from their website

Look for a file called eul301.exe via any archie client. This file is AFAIK
the self-extracting lite version of Eudora 3.01.
