The latest book to be released by FASA is Lone Wolf
by Nigel Findley.
Rick Larson is a deep cover Lone Star officer in the
(gang) Task Force on Crime. He gets hosed. Now on
the run he has to put the pieces together before someone
makes pieces out of him. (My synopsis)

Basically it gives a good look at the structure of gangs,
Lone Stars mental set, and elven corps. Argent does make
an appearance. Its quite funny to see how a LS and a Runner
act around each other. Pretty good plot. (I didn't figure it
out for quite a while). Actually, once I started reading it
I couldn't put it down (might have been the model glue I had
been playing with before...but seriously). I'd saw its worth
the few bucks to buy it.

I don'y`t know, but I doubt it. I think Aztlan may be delayed or
cancelled becuase of the death of its author, Nigel Findley.

Not that I know of. They're supposed to come out later this year, as far as
I know. This KE business, is that the Corporate Security Guidebook or
whatever it was called?

He'd already finished it according to something that was posted on this list
a few months ago, so I suspect it'll still come out...

This might be old news, but amazon has a listing for New Seattle,
including Cover Art (very cool), due out in July, 176 pages.
There is also a picture of Smugglers haven, either though its due
date is May 98. :)

I went and took a look at that. Everything coming out of FASA indicates
that New Seattle will be out after SR3, and that's August. So I don't
start thinking New Seattle will be out in July or August.

And looking at the "cover" for New Seattle it looks an awful lot like a
"placeholder" cover, artwork used to show off the book until the real cover
is done. At least *I* think so.

And I like I said before, you can probably start bugging your local game
store next Tuesday for Smuggler's Havens.

Don't know where Amazon got their info from, but it looks bad to me.

Steve told me a couple weeks ago that New Seattle has been pushed back
until after SR3 because it's a 'core' sourcebook.

dont have an exact date. Year of the Comet is just

when these books are coming out? What about Rigger
Redux?

I gather from the messages flying around the list that the
Matrix book has already been released. How big were the changes (no need
to tell me exactly what changed )? Is it worth buying, or only if the
Matrix is the main focus of your entire campaign?
I would ask the same of Rigger 3. Has it already been published?

Lets see. There were several changes, but mostly the book could be thought
of as a huge expansion based upon the rules for Matrix as found in the SR3
Core Book. Is it worth buying, regardless of the position of "decking" in
your game. My personal opinion is a most emphatic yes.

> I would ask the same of Rigger 3. Has it already been published?

No, that is the last Rulebook everyone should see for a long time to come.

In addition to what Keith said, think of Matrix as being much closer to
Magic in the Shadows than to Man and Machine and Cannon Companion. It's
actually interesting and useful for things /besides/ the rules and gear. :-)

According to their website, these two items have been discontinued. Also,
according to various 'folks in the know' here, the manuscripts/drafts/etc
for these are being passed onto WizKids. So I guess YotC is still a ways
off publication...

As far as I can make out, no new books will be released by FASA before
they close up. We just have to hope that wizkids gets the manuscripts and
will decide to publish them - not too unlikely considering that they're
apparently near completion.

You may want to read the dumpshock forums (http://forums.dumpshock.com);
this sort of thing is being discussed there, IIRC.

Please, don't post in the forums (or here!) asking anything that's already

Where exactly did you hear this? (Yes, the book is finished - or should be all
but, by now - but I wasn't aware there had been any word of Wizkids
deciding to
release it.)

Somehow I suspect that we'll have to wait until the new publishers produce
a book before we'll find out the answer to that question.

Disclaimer

These messages were posted a long time ago on a mailing list far, far away. The copyright to their contents probably lies with the original authors of the individual messages, but since they were published in an electronic forum that anyone could subscribe to, and the logs were available to subscribers and most likely non-subscribers as well, it's felt that re-publishing them here is a kind of public service.
