Hoi, Chummers

Are you interested in a spiffy new five-page character sheet with lots of
space for guns, cyber and spells? Are you tired of writing teensy-tiny
letter to get it all on two pages.

The sheets are written in Word for Windows 6.0 and is formatted for A4
(European) paper. There are two pages of general info, a whole page of
equipment, ditto weapons and ditto spells.

If you want it, drop me a few lines in private email, not on the list (no
reason to clog up listspace), and i'll mail it to ya. It's around 50k in
pkzipped, uuencoded format.

If I get a "go ahead" from the Listowners (Hayden/Falk) I'll post it to
the list. (Whaddaya think Hayden/Falk?)

Enjoy the noise

Sebastian

for what it's worth, i don't want to see this sort of thing posted
here. for one, i can't use it. for two, i read mail by UUCP and i
don't want to waste download time pulling down a 50k uuencode that i
have no chance of using (i use an amiga, and word for windows hasn't
been ported to amigados yet). not to mention that A4 paper isn't
generally available in the states, giving me yet another reason to not
want it.

instead, why don't you put it up on a web page and post the URL here?

k.

The paper format isn't a problem for those Americans reading this and
wanting the char sheet -- it's not the actual paper size, it's the margins
you set. A4 is 29.7 x 21.0 cm, while Letter is what, 29.2 x 21.6 cm (11.5 x
8.5 inches)? So if Sebastian has used, say, 2 cm margins all around, that
means that if you put the top and bottom margins of your Letter paper at
1.75 cm and the side margins at 2.3 cm, all is cool.

This, for those who hadn't thought of it, is also a solution for most of
those things you download but of which the layout just doesn't seem to work.

>instead, why don't you put it up on a web page and post the URL here?

Or mail it individually to the people who do want it?

We've got a long-standing rule of no binaries on the list. Thanks
for asking -- even I broke that rule once. *shameful grin*
However, if you want to send me a copy, I can stick it on my FTP
site (ftp://cybernothing.org/pub/jdfalk/shadowrun/) for all to access.

I'd be surprised if many GM's hadn't done up their own by the second ga=
me
they played. We've been through about 4 formats. The one on cerebus is
pretty good though.

Yep. Sounds about right. Though word for windows format is useless to m=

Why not see if there's a spot on cerebus for ya?

I have found databases infinately useful for this. It's a pain in the ass
at first, designing the new sheet, but once its finished, you can save a
blank one as a format (or a template if your program allows) and WHAM, you
have a completely customized and easy to use character sheet.
