First, Gurth, is this thing still being updated? and if so what address
should new PA powers be sent?

Second, if so, I was thinking about submitting those "Age of Aquarius"
PhysAd powers I came up with for K, if he doesn't mind as well as a
suggestion for an alternate way of handling a PA power (Dragon Hands, see
below) ... Does anyone else want to chip in?

Dragon Hands
Cost: 3
original source: <briddle@*****.vinu.edu>
original author: Shadowdancer

Roll Quickness againts opponent's reaction. Increase damage as per full
auto rules treating the number of successes as the number of rounds
fired.

<plug>
Btw, the current "Newest Physical Adepts Handybook" now in version 5.0,
can be found on the SR archive (which I can now access since unistalling
NS4.04 and installing 4.05 ... yea! :) ... just follow the Magic link and
check out the other nifty stuff while you're there :)

DGhost, I don't care what you do with your ideas, and I begin to really think
we are going to be using your "Sonar Sense" suggestion here. Works well so
far at least, in theory of course ;)

What are using as the range per level? You had suggested MA * 5? per
level or something like that, IIRC ... but I didn't like the idea of PA
powers that go up just because your MA went up. (ie you initiate and your
Sonar Sense goes up for "free") ... Hmmmm ... after actually looking at
the Cyberpirates Sonar stuff, how about level 1 Sonar Sense gives you
access to Passive Sonar and Active Sonar has a range of 100 m per level
(a PhysAd who spends all 6 points on Sonar has an Active range 2,400
meters ... less than a level 1 Ship-based sonar ...) ... What /SHOULD/
the range for a personal sonar sense be?

Radar Sense: AFAIK, Radar doesn't need to interpret the RADAR signals,
just hear them, so this would still be feasable ... if not, could someone
point say so? :) I would reccommend a range of 200 m per level.

BTW, the cost is still .25 per level ... does anyone think this is too
cheap for the ranges given? (If so, why? :)

We were going to stick with the MA x 5 meters x Level Purchased (maximum of
4). For most people, that is going to be somewhere between 30 meters and 600
meters. That is actually not all that bad. Especially considered that
shipboard sonar is MUCH stronger.

I am still not sure if I want "RADAR" sense to be a PAD ability just yet. It
is just a really big leap IMO compared to Sonar.

I still think it's not so bad. Especially considering that if using the Sonar
Sense concept we're bouncing around, that it would still require a Perception
(Intelligence) roll to actually notice anything within the AoE.

??? 6 MA & 4 levels = range of 120 meters ... still not too bad but why
did you put a cap on it at 4? IMO, if you're gonna cap it, put the cap
at MA ... :)

Okay after re-reading the Imp Phys Sense powers (which can *NOT* handle
radio), you're right :)

the other option that I was considering is having the PAD roll his/her MA with
a target of a "4" and treating it like a Hypersenses Spellcasting. But then
it begins to look a lot like the "Magical Edges" and that isn't what I was
looking for at least.

The "cap of 4" is because I thought that was your suggestion in one of the
posts, and I likely misinterpreted something that you wrote...

Why are you asking me? Brett Brown is the one made that book,
not me -- I just contributed a few powers and corrections to it.

I saw your name on the list of contributers and for some reason, I
thought it was a joint venture between you, Brett Brown, and Paolo...
(though if you hadn't mention his name, I would have said, "Gurth, Paolo,
and some other guy ..." :) Oh well, I e-mailed the addy in the
publication and got permanent fatal errors ... in others words, "D'OH!"
:)

He was on the list not too long ago, but I don't know if he still is;
I haven't seen him post anything, though that may mean he
simply lurks...
