Hey Chummers,
My GM has been bouncing around the idea of a Cyborg. Which means you have no ess
ence and you don't have to worry about it, the only prob is that you can go i
n
to a frenzy, basicly you kill the nearest thing. Could this be your new guard?

Hoi,
Idon't know exactly what your GM's up to, but it sounds to me like you've
got a cyber-psycho on your hands. The way you described it is almost the same
description our Gm used when we faced our first one. It seems that some corps
have some people who are willing to go through with the process that turns some
one into a cyber-psycho (whether they were willing or not, we don't know). The
corps then put enough cyberware in their system, that there essence drops to ze
ro (or sometimes below zero). These troops are by no means long lasting as most
of them will die within 6mo. if they don't get geeked first.
These troops are only used to geek very powerful people or as incredibly t
ough shock troops (or in your case, security guards). We found out the hard way
how tough these boys were when Mitsuhama came after our team with about 8 of
these mo-fo's. They didn't have enough brain to affect them with spells at all.
It was a good thing thier ammo wasn't protected or we would have been in a worl
d of hurt.

Yo,

Sounds like an "iron golem." Those of you that play AD&D know what I
am
talking about. Of course, mo for SR. Some mage (or mages) build a robot,
enchant the sucker, he goes Astral. Maybe has some oraculum in him too. High
body (solid steel/iron), no brains (see body), yep, not much you can do.

Yeeouch. I don't think this is possible...consider the likelihood of mages
having the requisite skills (and karma!) to build such a beast, and then
enchant it. And the only people/creatures/etc. that can actually "go astral"
should be mage/shaman types, the occaisional awakened critter, and assorted
spirits.

Here's something I think more likely: how about a construct run by a rigger?
It could be completely machine, no meat at all, just set up like a drone with a
remote control rig system... Major tech and nuyen here, but possible... It
would explain the black aura on the astral, as well as why Urban Renewal worked
on it.
