Shadowtech expands on the standard datajack as listed in the SRII Ed.
book. They range from Levels 1 thru 4, and offer varying Data Flow Rates
[like baud on a modem]. People who would only use a datajack for simple
datamanagement and just minor entertainment purposes like simsense, it
would make sense to only have a Level one installed, a cheaper price,
and only an Essence loss of .1 High rolling deckers, who love to crunch
massive amounts of data, or people who like their Dir-X simsense as full
band as possible would get the Level 4, a little more expensive, with an
Essence loss of .25. [remember, in any data transfer system, the overall
speed of transfer of info is only as fast as the slowest link].

Remember though that most people would also need an SPU (I/O). The basic
datajack ala SRII comes with an integral Spu (I/O) rating 0.
