Okay, several people have asked for it, now you have it: the EarthDawn mailing
list.

To subscribe to the EarthDawn mailing list, send a message as follows:

To: majordomo@********.iquest.com
Subject: [ignored]
Text: subscribe earthdawn

You will automatically be added to the mailing list and sent an info file.
For help with other commands, send e-mail to majordomo with 'help' in the body
of the message. Some commands work just the same as listserv, but there *are*
differences, so you might want to read the help file.

Other useful commands -- send these in the body of a message to majordomo:

'lists' tells you what mailing lists the majordomo serves
'info <listname>' sends you the info file for the named list
'who <listname>' sends you a list of subscribers, if list is open

If you have any problems subscribing to the earthdawn list, or problems with
majordomo in general, send a message to earthdawn-owner@********.iquest.com or
majordomo-owner@********.iquest.com, respectively. Currently, both of these
addresses are aliased to me, but you should use the proper administrative
addresses in case this changes. Keep in mind that our system is undergoing
some configuration right now, so it's possible that *some* sites may have
trouble. If so, try contacting me directly and I'll keep you posted as the
system stabalizes. This will probably only affect sites whose mail goes
through some sort of gateway site, and really only a subset of those machines.
Anyone whose machine is 'directly' on the Internet should have no problems.

In addition to the ED list, we also have a gopher server and anonymous ftp.
The ftp is a bit sparse at this time, but there are a few things there worth
looking at. The gopher is already looking pretty good, and will only get
better as I continually add new resources and arrange items more logically.

Ok, this is the SECOND earthdawn list that exists now.

There only needs to be one. Fix the problem so I can put the information
into the FAQ correctly.

These messages were posted a long time ago on a mailing list far, far away.
