Well, I'm thinking of doing something other than Seattle for an upcoming
campaign. Anybody have any good information on New Orleans or the Federal
District of Colombia in the Sixth World? SONA doesn't have a whole lot on
either.

I'm looking for sourcebook page references (I can hit my store's used
shelf) and/or stuff any of you have created.

FDC.... Maybe a little something in Slammed Dunk (PoaD), but for the Big
Easy, Target: Smuggler's Haven and Cyberpirates is the way to go.
Cyberpirates mainly covers New Orleans and the Carib and whatever wasn't
mentioned in CP was in Smuggler's Haven.

FDC got an entry in the Original NA Guide to North America. A tad flaky (the
entry puts an airport right where my childhood home was up; there's no way
the airport will be built, even if Reagan National is shut down, and that
was true when the article was written), but OK for other thigs (no worse
that the Seattle Sourcebook, all things considered - I understand that the
location of the Arcology is extremely unlikely in Seattle).

As someone already said, Cyberpirates and Target: Smuggler Havens covered
the Big Easy. In addition, a series of old White Wolf Magazine articles did
so as well, but I don't remember them very well, and the sourcebooks should
be considered offical.

As for the FDC, there's an entire section on FDC in the old Neo Anarchist's
Guide to North America, but it's more suited to 2052 era campaigns than the
current point in the timeline. Portfolio of a Dragon may have a little
information on the rift where the Big D died, but not much more...

Target: Smuggler Havens deals with New Orleans, while the Neo-A Guide to
North America has some info about Washington.

The whole acrology is extremely unlikely, IMHO, but then, that's perhaps
because I figured out how big that thing actually is -- the pic in R:AS
and New Seattle is extremely misleading, for example, but I have a feeling
this is what most people think of when they imagine the Arcology.

To get an idea of the relative size of that thing, think of the pyramids in
Egypt. Obviously, the Arcology is one of the pyramids, and the rest of
Seattle is the empty desert around it. If you have that in your mind, then
imagining the skyline of Seattle is pretty easy, I think.

According to The Sixth World
http://www.divnull.com/lward/sixthworld/northamerica/cas.html:
New Orleans: Target: Smuggler's Havens, pp 7-29, 92-97.

and http://www.divnull.com/lward/sixthworld/northamerica/ucas.html:
Federal District of Columbia: Neo-Anarchist's Guide to North America, pp
86-101.

The Sixth World hasn't been updatet since April 16 2002, so it dosn't
contain onformation from books publisher after that date, and i sproberly
missing some information from earlier books.
