...New Seattle (first impression) is probably the best looking of the SR books
to come out in quite a while. I'm not including SR3 in this, and sincerely
hope that MitS looks and reads at least as well.

Yes, Mike B. and I got our copies today finally...

Just returned from the 60 mile (round-)trip to the hobby store, where I
managed to buy the _last_ copy of New Seattle!! (Oddly enough, it was sitting
next to a new copy of the *old* Seattle Sourcebook.) And I must agree too.

From what I've skimmed so far, it's a great work & much better organized than
its predecessor. A bit light on the locations, (which I'm told had to be cut
due to size limitations -- including the downtown entry for the "Big Knobi
Klub." *sigh* Oh well, there's always SR4...) but at 135 pages there's plenty
of detailed material for players and GMs

Overall I'd say, Steve's really outdone himself on this one!

(Did I mention I'm in it--twice?! As both "Fenris" and "Ricochet
Rita"!!)

I just picked up the Seattle II book. No review yet, but NO map of downtown
Seattle, and NO real street address for the Renraku Archology (1 Renaku Ave,
or whatever, indeed). Some selected shorts from the old Lone Star book, and
out. Not even as exhaustive as the old Seattle book. --Anders

<SNIP New Seattle Comments>
I just snagged a copy myself. I wish it had been a bit
larger, particulary for $20, but it was well thought out,
and covers all main points, much better then the 1st
book did in my opinion. If you've read all the novels and
have all the sourcebooks, its kinda anticlimatic, but if
you have a campaign set in Seattle its quite nice.
One thing I particulary enjoyed was the personality's
from the various novels making comments. I love the
Dead Decker's Societies system comments
everywhere. Plautaugh G (sp?) from Stackpole's Wolf
& Raven adventures makes an appearance, and even
Lady Tsung comments. All in all, a nice job done by
Kenson.
