I was flipping idly through NS right now, and I just noticed something odd.
Pg. 112, it says "All law enforcement personnel, no matter who they work for,
have a commlink and radio installed as headware (except for magicians, of
course)." It then, in the archetype descriptions and stats, does not mention
said cyber. Essence for everybody is still 6....Also, nowhere else is this
mentioned, except on the same page (112), in the gear section. Which is the
intent? Similarly...has anybody EVER found stats for KE troopers where KE has
the contract? Or stats for the MPs out of Ft. Lewis?

Hm, I remember seeing that the other night, but I was too busy showing a
player why it isn't a good idea to be a cop killer in a rating AAA
neighbourhood with no escape but a shot-up motorbike. Especially if you're
an ork.
Anyway, it is a pretty far out statement to make, there'd be a lot of people
who simply would not want a radio built into their head, such as people
using the force as a stepping stone to higher things, and the many people
who'd be squeamish when it comes to unneccesary surgery. I'd say ignore that
comment as something that slipped past the editor.
I don't recall ever seeing KE stats, but I don't see any reason why they'd
be different to Lone Star stats. One or two small gear changes, KE would
have Ares guns, but the attributes would be the same.

I think they're supposed to have the commlink/radio combo, but it seems
unrealistic to me that all cops would have that. I mean, a normal radio
works just as well in nearly all situations, doesn't it?

I thought there are stats for KE guards in Dark Angel, but the four KE
investigators mentioned don't get any stats -- instead, there's a block of
four condition monitors with stats for Lone Star cops...

In the module Dragon Hunt, the NPC Coinspinner is being held by KE in a safe
house, and the troopers guarding him are pretty tough. They had moderate
cyber (something like a smartlink and muscle replacement 1), but they had
skills of 6-8! I could dig out their stats when I get home if you're
interested, but they were 1st Edition I think.

I haven't seen stats for MPs, but there were Metroplex Guardsman stats in
2nd Edition I think. The average ganger could have taken on 2 or 3.
