Did you know you can test your sig file by mailing a message to
yourself? I spammed the list a couple of times doing the same thing
when I first got on the internet before I was shown the error of my
ways :)

Ahhh, but it's not QUITE that simple with some mailers...

On this one, you get a local .sig, and a remote .sig.
(Local .sigs for other adresses on this system, Remote for off system
addresses. So, to test my remote .sig, I'd have to e-mail someone OFF
campus...)

not true

You are using elm, and all elm does when adding a remote .sig is check
whether there is an @ sign in the email address, so, sending mail to
username@**.mail.server would return the correct .sig

Or, you could send it to a nonexistant e-mail address, and it should
bounce back and display everything fine.

Just my luck that it (the email) would actually get through to someone I
didn't know existed...8)

So use the same .sig for local and remote, then send yourself a message...

Unless you _need_ a separate .sig for local mail (because else nobody will
recognize you for example) that should work just fine.
