Just noticed this had been updated.

The only significant changes I noticed were:
* Flechette no longer rocks as much. (AP+5 !)
* Gel rounds have also been toned down.
* Drain, both physical and stun, cannot be magically healed.

Did anyone else find anything big that I missed?

Don't forget that EX explosive is no longer overpowered (Flechette rocks? EX explosive
used to have the same DV bonus plus a -2 AP modifier).

I actually like the ammo changes, because it's a lot more balanced now. There's actually
a reason you might want to use Flechette or APDS instead of EX explosive. Now if only
they would fix stick'n'shock. I'm pretty sure everyone in our group carries a light
pistol loaded with stick'n'shock now. Why would anyone ever use a taser?

They changed the rules for improving skills so you have to make a test and spend time, not
just pay the karma cost. This also gives an actual reason to have instruction.

They clarified that area effect indirect combat spells can affect people outside of the
caster's line of sight. This isn't really new, but it is nice to have it spelled out
because it's something a lot of people argue about.

In the end, magic is still overpowered (yeah, yeah, different rant...).

Still much better than normal rounds (2 success is not 5 dices, it's
between 6 and 8), so it's a step in the good direction but only a step.

Astral form manifesting can't be targeted by mana spell (good).

Indirect spell can affect something not seen/targeted (as before SR4,
bad, it's one more "special case").

They made flechette rounds worth using in 4th edition?

Your target got a bonus to resist them (+2 armor), but the extra
damage more than made up for it, statistically.
