I see a lot of people tossing back and forth disparraging comments about how
the show is being run so why don't we just take it into our hands for the
time being? Just as an intermediary until the SR line gets back up and
running. I seriously doubt the game gods will mind our spin-offs.
<sarcasm>After all, it has already been said that regardless of the content
we'd buy it anyway.</sarcasm> What direction do you think the game should
go?

Hmm, I support this, as long as it is all of a nonpermanant nature and it
stays all very onofficial. Not that we touch on official storylines in our
games much anyway. Here's a few rough directions:

A war between American nations. It would be interesting if there was the
equivalent of the Eurowars but on the North American continent. Say, CAS and
Pueblo for example, then the other nations are drawn in one by one by
treaties and border security concerns. What side will UCAS take, especially
if the CAS and Aztlan are on opposite sides. What if Aztlan are actually the
'good guys'? Think Russia in WWII. What is the stance of the Multinationals?

A sudden dip in the mana level exposes just how reliant society has become
on this new force. If it continues to dip then the lives of metahumans could
be at risk as reverse goblinizations start. Tir Tairngire is ruined as the
magically grown forests start to rot where they stand, Saeder Krupp is
thrown into turmoil when the CEO vanishes. Maybe it is some nefarius scheme
that runners could end or maybe it is a natural, temporary dip. Just as
people start adapting to things going back to the pre-Awakening norm, the
magic comes back again, strong as ever.

An airborne virus pandemic breaks out. Metahumans are immune, but the basic
mycoproteins of the world are ruined. No existing screens can keep the virus
out. Famine grips the world, widespread riots become common, the
back-to-Earthers suddenly get very rich...
