On rec.games.mecha today, I noticed something interesting.

They're apparently making a Battletech movie (yay, yay) now.

What's of interest to us is that Chris Kubasik, author of Changeling,
is going to help out with the film.

Just thought you'd want to know...

If the Battletech movie is anything near as bad as Robot Jox or Crash
and Burn then anyone involved should just be shot on sight.

When is this movie going to come out? I was told they were going to make
one but that was a couple years ago.

Personally I liked Robot Jox..The robot movement was fairly well
done...C&B on the otherhand was a MAJOR dissapointment....Wait the whole
movie for some robot combat and you get about 30 seconds..

It (hopefully) won't be. If they follow the Stackpole novels, they'll
be alright...

At LEAST it would have a plot then.

The cartoon is supposed to follow the time period...

No word on it yet, obviously. It apparently was in some magazine
that they were getting an author for the script...doesn't mean much.

I'm going to wait for it happily...
