Well, if he was a Metahuman and was going to spend, say, 50 or 60 Karma
to do so, I might let him gain Sorcery adepthood. :)
No, really, I would say the potential for unbalancing a campaign is too
great. Why would anyone ever take PRIORITY 4 for Magic if they could,
eventually (with Karma and time) get the equivalent AND have all that
kick-butt other stuff.
Non-Game Mechanics Reason: Easy. If you weren't born with the ability to
weave the stuff, you'll never develop it. Mages and Shamans is born,
ah say BORN, not made, son. ;)
But mostly it's just the potential for unbalanced characters that makes
me cringe....
