Okay folks, as I just realized that I don't have the GCPLAN list in my email
addy book for some reason, I'm going here to say this.

Andon is annoying and sucks immensely. MVBD (or however that annoying
acronym goes) is *barely* any better.

First of all, UWM/Sandberg *IS* closed up. They *used* to have 1000 bed
allotments, but this year they started something new and only have *400* bed
allotments. They claim that "the interest isn't there as much, hence the
business isn't". How funny, every hotel we called today, and the MBVD both
stated calmly that "the roll call of visitors and reservations is UP this
year...they don't why UWM did what they did."

Second, I realize they are probably immensely busy people, but their ability
to organize the con is goofy at best. For some reason, I think this is
probably more Andon than Milwaukee Visitor Board's fault, but this is just me.

SO.

Everyone that doesn't have a room had better motivate themselves in a BIG
way. We have a room, but it isn't *that* close (we are closer, and cheaper,
than Bull got IIRC) to the con itself. But, as we are planning to do more
than just the con this year.

As someone who has had the misfortune of dealing with Andon on a personal
level the last couple of years at Origins (A con that is a good deal
smaller than Gen Con, BTW) and agree with this wholeheartedly... The
idiots actuallys cheduled us in the On Site book for 72 players, but gave
us only one table in one small room. Then couldn;t even keep us in the
same damned room three days ina row. :/

They start acting up next year, they're gonna get to know me on a personal
level :/ We put too much work into this convention to have them fuck it up
for us every year :/

It most certainly is Andon from the recent experiance at origins. We were
part of the SR tournement this year we had in the book 72 people thats 12
teams of 6 they assigned us 1 yes 1 fraging table we had to have the
toruney in different roums not to mention rounds 2 and rounds 3 were each
slated in a different room then round 1 was supposed to be in. You get the
royal go talk to this person no go talk to that person treatment as well.
They suck roayl now that WoC has taken over. I can not speak from personal
experiance but I do know people who were going their long before Wizards
took it over and things were a lot smoother then. Oh well what can you do
when they have the control.

As for the hotel's I feal your pain I spent an hour on thursday to find
mine.
