Magic / Technology Weapons!

YES!!!

I like the idea.
Just a few little problems. The spell is ALL WRONG.
Magic is MAGIC. It doesn't have to obay normal physical laws.
(except concervation of energy. the power has to come from
somewhere.)
So you can create, alter and manipulate matter quite easily, but
WHY bother with a PARTICLE BEAM????
Have the Gun shoot Mauve Sphere that explode at the target.
Or silver lizards
Or swearwords
Or swimming fish
Or invent a spell that makes projectiles more accurate... or
speeds them up (form of high power magic fingers/TK)
Or anything INTERESTING. face it, in a dark future science
fantasy world, magical particle beams are a little boring. be
inventive!

The Ultimate Underslung Magic weapon from SMF Paris
Laser Burner.
A preset laser sight and a Force 5 Fire Element with 1+
services. The Element has been ordered to stay with the gun and
attack anything the laser illuminates.
COST 1000+cost of summoning element materials x shots (services)
Damage. As Element
Street Index. Experimental Military. 4?

Sure Hit M53
The system uses Either;
A Minigrenade laucher
or Shotgun
with a laser sight and a Air element.(usually F3,)
when the weapon is fired, the Element guides the projectile
(grenade or slug) to the target illuminated by the laser.
Acts as if the Firer had extra skill dice=elements force
If misses, next action the element trys again, and again until
hits or explodes.
If target runs, the element follows at top speed, and keeps
trying to hit
Cost weapon+1000+cost to summon x services
Damage as weapon
Street index 4?

In reply to Chopper's remarks about as to the whys about making a
particle beam spell. The main reason I made it is that it is a damaging
manipulation, area-effect that happens in a straight line and only a
straight line. This can be handy in situations where you're sams are in
the thick of it and you don't want him in the fireball as well. I agree
though, magic is magic. It allows the mage to impress his will upon the
physical universe.

Energy in astral space is different -- a small amount of energy there can be
a huge blast in "the real world" (no, not the tv show :)
