...to turn on the extinguisher.

Two of the more vocal members of this list have been engaging in a
flame war. Though it has at times been entertaining, I would like to
see those parties involved return to a discussion of Shadowrun, and
take their private quarrel offline.
OKay, I'll climb down off of the soapbox. Now for something
completely different.
Does anyone out there know why the Aztecs hate the Elves? It says
in the Tir Tairngir sourcebook that the Azzies sent agents to harass
the elven kingdom while it was new, and that the Azzies flatly refuse
to recognize the Elven nations. When pressed on the matter of the two
Tirs, they refer to them as the "elven settlements." Can anyone give
me any info on this?

"Okay, here's the plan. First we'll try to sneak in. If that fails,
we bluff our way through. If that fails, we shoot anything that
moves, get what we want, and then shoot our way out."
"I didn't say it was a _good_ plan."

They _are_ in a discussion related to Shadowrun. It's supposed to be
entertaining.

A: They are smarter than the media, or John Q. Public. Big surprise. I'd
imagine that they know more, being a magically-based institution and all. In
this case, for brevities sake, I'll merely say RTFM and refer you to Harliquin,
The Tir Tairngire sourcebook, and that lovely (NOT!!) short story posted by
Herr Doktor Doom some little time ago. Plus, for extracurricular reading, try
EarthDawn some time. You'd be surprised (or maybe not) at all the cross-overs.
Hint: this is a big thing for FASA, and they've spent a lot of time working on
it. Thought I think I've ppretty much figured things out, I'm not about to
spoil it.
