Heh... Way to go and pimp some work of yours. ;)
But although it's a nice system, I really prefer steps. :-)
But I'm too old-skool for my age and my well being, friends

Well, it's so old it hardly matters, we did that game while everybody else
was playing first ed ADnD. As for the acronym-- I play the games, I just
didn't know the geek word for them! But, seriously, what's more basic and
useful than raw % skills?

Cooked % skills? :) I played a lot of the early
graphical MMORPGs in beta, but they ended up going
sour when entering the _massively_ multiplayer stage
(I did enjoy some free There and A Tale in the Desert
a while ago, though).

I have yet to hear a different term than MMORPG to
specifically describe such games, but I'm not always
as well-informed as I could be when making such
statements.

cheers,

Jan Jaap

Apart from SR I've always prefered BRP for anything else, be it Call of
Cthulhu, RuneQuest, Mutant, Drager og Dæmoner or any other RPG.

The good thing about BRP was that you could explain rules in less than 10
minutes (these are your stats, if you ever need to use them you rolle a d20,
if you roll under you succede. These are your skills, when you need to use
them your roll d100, if you roll under you succede. Hit Points, damage,
etc).

I've a player who had never player RPGs befor playing CoC and becoming
fanatical roleplayers. I've had player who had run screaming away from AD&D,
woving never to play RPGs again, becoming addicted to CoC. All because the
rules was secondary to the story.

Chaosiunm is working on a final more complex version of BRP
