I pronounce it noo-yen. Yen (which also has the ¥ as it's symbol) is
the current name for Japanese currency (AFAIK). With Nuyen, it seems
to be implied that the Japanese economy in SR has gone through some
form of major reformation thus and update or new yen.

This is however, all in my opinion.
