I can't do it.
I can't figure out how to conect SRII Hardcover to RotLA!
Somebody tell me how to do this.

The only thing I've managed to come up with is somehting running Dodger
through Charles Dickens . . .
Wasn't there somebody in RotLA that was a Dickens fan?
Memory passes me right up.

Is there a Shadowrun 2nd Edition Hardcover? If there is I'd like to get
it.

No, it's all just this running joke us older players made up wave in
front of the newer players. HA-HA we had you going. I'm only telling you
this since the other guys ganged up on me and threw me out of the
oldtimer's club.

- MC23, taking things to far -

The hardcover came out for the first release of the second edition. As a
general rule most gamers given the choice will pay 5 dollars (U.S.) less
for a rulebook in softcover given the choice. This has started a
tradition so to speak for several games to first be released in hardback
and later in softback. As far as finding one, see if any game/comic
stores in your area will deal in used books and wait to see if anyone
ever brings one in. Some people just lose interest, don't have enough
time to play, or need money so they will sell what they think they can
live with out. I, on the otherhand, know my heart will stop is my
rulebook is removed from me. B;>]#

Yes, and good luck... and expect to shell out some extra cash... They
were an limited print run, and are hard to find...

I got lucky and had a friend who needed cash, so he sold me his, but i've
never been able to find another one, and I've been looking for one for over
a year...

There is, but my copy isn't for sale :)

AFAIK it was a limited print run back in1992 when SRII first came out,
and I picked up a copy at a con where I first learned of the 2nd edition
of the game. (I still kick myself for not asking Tom Dowd to sign it...)
You would be very lucky to find an SRII hardcover in a book or game store
anywhere, I think.

I'm guessing that Dvixen owns a copy of Raider's of the Lost Ark RPG (based
on the movie) and its sitting on the shelf next to her copy of Shadowrun.

Nope. RPG-wise, I only own Shadowrun books. (How's that for discriminating?
And with me working in a game store for two years too!)

> Acually, next door but one but one.....

Here's Faux Pas's answer:

Heck, that's easy!

Raiders of the Lost Ark was made into an rpg by West End Games
West End Games and FASA have been at GenCon
FASA makes the Shadowrun RPG including the SR 2nd ed. hardcover!

(Which wasn't what I was thinking.)

And I goofed anyways. It was four steps, so Faux Pas did one better than I.
I only said the hardcover to try and add confusion, btw.

The Hardcover was a limited print book. Good luck finding one. (I'm still
looking for a First ed. Hardcover, the one with the upside down map...)

-Checking my mail for the first time in... three and a half days. I'll be
wading through it forever I think...
(only 555 to go!)

-And no, the binding on my book is not falling apart. And it gets used
*often*.
(only 476 to go!)

Funny, I'm able to find them all over. Just check at any good sized con.
Of course, that could just be because I have one and don't need another.
Now, I'll probably never see another one ever.

Mike Broadwater

p.s. If you can make it to GenCon, I _know_ you'll be able to find one.
