It's megaCORP not megaCON.

corp = corporation / "Konzern"
con = ton con s.o. / "schwindeln"

I see that on the Fanpro-boards too, from time to time and it's just...
Gah. *grins*

And to all the english-speaking people who wondered where that one comes
from: In German it's "MegaKON" (short for "Konzern").

Actually - Mega-Kon would be alright again. Mega as a prefix for the
superlative with a following abbreviation for Konzern… And if I think
about it - at least in the German sourcebooks/novels it's always
written with "k" and never with "c"

It would be ok on a German list, yeah. This here isn't one. And if I get
confused by this, I'm pretty sure that non-germans will have their few
moments of "what the...?" too. ;)

Just like some German posters on international boards seem to assume
that it's "NSC" and not "NPC", in English. (Which is... Weird, when
they
write a perfect-English post and then throw in such minimalistic stuff. *g*)

Force of habit, I guess, similar to megacon (which is a fitting slang
for megacorps, IMO), or other abbreviations. Muscle-memory is an odd
thing :)
