Shadowrun 3rd edition.

If your interested, check out the web page at:

Hi there.

I'm not familiar with WebRPG, but i'd be interested in playing in an online 3rd
edition Shadowrun campaign. Any possibility of that?

Sure. You might want to go check out their web page (http://www.webrpg.com)
and check it out. They describe the process for downloading the program and
using it.

It takes some getting used to, but basically it's a program that allows
people to get online, share characters sheets, roll dice in such away that
everybody sees the same result, share maps, and so on. Take a look at it,
and if you have any questions I can probably help you with it.

The possibilities are endless. The great thing is the versatility of the
dice roller. You can set (using Open-Ended and Target options) the dice
roller to Shadowrun's D6 system and it will calculate the results on-screen
and show successes. You can embed "dice macros" into character sheets and
roll a skill quickly and easily (Make SURE you use a capital D when
designating a skill, such as 4D6, otherwise it won't reroll 6's). Also, the
initiative tool is handy for calculating large numbers of PCs/NPCs. The
disadvantage? Most of the work (as usual) falls on the GM, and the GM
probably should have a passing knowledge of HTML and a scanner to take full
advantage of the system. 2nd Edition might be better because of its
simplified skills (as long as you don't let the players take
specializations) and non-cyclic initiative, but run it however you'd like.
It's a game.

Now if WebRPG could only incorporate cards for my Castle Falkenstein
story...

Just a small note (nothing personal), Michael Webb. I checked the web page
for Los Diablos out, and it looks intriguing, but the 2d6 initiative for
everybody is putting me off, especially since gameplay-wise, it is quite
easy for a mundane to increase their initiative (boosted reflexes and
certain drugs come to mind). Wired Reflexes become relatively worthless (the
+2 to reaction is equivalent to getting less than a rolled initiative die),
and people are likely to create characters to take advantage of the system
(High reaction, low reflex characters). Again, nothing personal, and I am
still interested, but I can see problems with modifying what I think is a
fair (if a bit broken) initiative system.

You expressed some interest in the game earlier, but I wasn't certain
whether I should put you on the mailing list. Would you like to be on it?

I've added a message board for players to talk on to my site, feel free to
take a look at http://www.sharedhallucinations.com/Diablos and go to the
board sidebar.

Ok, I'm an idiot. Ignore my last post. Stupid hitting reply to a list post,
but expecting it to just go to the sender.
