Hi all (first post on the mailing list),

I just wondered if there were any campaigns that were running on the
net? I'd be interested to join such a campaign and wondered where to
join. :)

Also, has anyone tried to run one? If so, what dice rollers and/or
programs did you use?

Thanks & L8r!

I've played and continue to play many an online campaign. I've always had the best luck
using regular ol' IRC with a dice bot. We've also experimented with some web-based
mapping systems but the bulk of the games continue to be IRC based. I mean, what more do
you need really?

Actually, I think we're currently looking for additional players and we have a game
tonight (9pm eastern time, irc.sandnet.net, channel #d&d . Yes, the channel name
there isn't a mistake. We haven't played a D&D game in like 3 years but for some
reason we continue to call the channel that...) so you're welcome to stop by and maybe
just watch to see if you're interested. Though frankly I missed last week's game since I
was out of town and the campaign we were in might have been resolved in which case I don't
know what else is lined up, though I'm sure we'll do *something*. I really have to talk
to the other players...

irc.dumpshock.com #shadowrun comes to mind, point your favorite irc
client to the server and channel and off you go.

I have seen things you lusers would not believe.
I've seen Sun monitors on fire off the side of the multimedia lab.
I've seen NTU lights glitter in the dark near the Mail Gate.
All these things will be lost in time, like the root partition last
week. Time to die.

There are online Shadowrun (as well as almost any system) games. I'm
preparing to run a new Shadowrun campaign in the upcoming weeks myself.
Unfortunatly we've decicded to make this a "reunion" group of friends who no
longer see each other due to relocations.

We've been using OpenRPG for our current D&D game and I'm planning on
trying it for Shadowrun. Supposedly there is a small but dedicated
Shadowrun community using Open RPG. We've tried several other pragrams
before but with very limited success. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has
found better software, especially if it meshes well with Shadowrun.

I missed the original post, but there're always the Shadowrun MUSHes; The oldest (and
the one I play on) has a website at http://shadowrun.dnaco.net.
