Okay, let me see if I got the idea right...

Otaku has forms which represents organic skills which behaves
similarly to programs. These forms can also be used to emulate
neural cyberware. (Cybereyes, smargun links, MBW, encephalon etc.).

Is that about it?

Ok. What's the fuss?

Why go through extremely detailed recountings of the loopholes or not
that might or might not make this possible? If you want it in your
game, use it - if you don't, guess what? Don't. As Mike said, SR is
full of loopholes. That's what they are - loopholes. I would hate my
players to go looking through the rules for loopholes on some ruling
or another for such a purpose. I would prefer them to come straight
out and say, 'I have this character concept. Does it look good?'.

Proposing it through an explanation of loopholes reminds me far too
much of .. *cough* .. a rules lawyer... :)

I use the word 'loopholes' far too often in this mail..... :/

Because the last time I tried to start a thread I did not give a basis and got
carped and thwapped royally for it ... hence the reason I went into a pretty
good amount of detail ...

As for the rules lawyer part ... loop-hole was the easiest word I could find
to describe the creation of the cyber-forms ...

I'm actually not referring to this one in particular, more like such
threads in general. It's the trend where some obscure wording some
place or other makes someone go "Ahhhh now that's a possibility" when
that possibility is for something ... well, not necessarily far
fetched but fairly obviously not intended/considered. I'd think it
was just as well to come up with something new instead of having to
force it around existing molds... on the other hand it of course
lends credibility to base it on existing parts of the world idea, but
it also gives the impression it is something everyone should use,
which is not quite so obviously valid, which again leads to people
jumping up and down and yelling "MUNCHKIN! MUNCHKIN!" or something
such because they think it's a way to exploit the rules or whatever.

That one was actually an inside joke. I think whoever it was hinted
at knows... I mention it in case he's humor impaired these days.
The *cough* and the smiley was there for a reason. ;)
