Darth Vader the Shadowrunner:
I say pick an appropriate telekinetic-type spell that lets you
interact with some degree of skill. Preferably one that gives you an
effective strength rating-I think one exists. Otherwise, something like
Magic Fingers, with a Strength of either Force or Force/2, no armor or
CP. . .that should do it.

Here's a topic that I swear has not been brough up yet: Time Travel. Not on
a regular basis, mind you. I my campaign one of my players came ups with
the following background, after playing another runner in a campaign that
lasted some 20+ years of game time.

Her "retired" character's daughter became a runner as well. Very souped up
cybernetically and bionically enhanced. While on a run against a time-
travel lab (Sounds cheesy, I know. We'll discuss plausibility later,
feasibility now) something "went wrong" and she was flung back in time,
terminator style (nude, no equpment).

So she doesn't have any "futuristic" equipment, like lasers or what-not.
Her 'ware is entirely within the rules. I do not have a problem with PCs
having things from Shadowtech, if they have a good reason. The downside
is: shea has NO contacts, not even her freebies; no money, no SIN (arguably
not a detrimental factor) and of course, no place to stay (except with the
other runners; I'm still debating whether to have them familiar with her
already or have her appear at the beginning of the campaign. Other disadvantages
come to mind, such as temporary amnesia.

My inclination now is to let her play and see what happens. She is NOT a
munch-type, and is not doing this for the toys. Ideas? Views?

Another thing I'm doing with my campaign is starting it in Bangkok, using the
Bangkok sourcebook from Twilight:2000. It was also written for use with
Merc:2000, which, aside from lacking cyberware and magic, is similar in its
premise and conventions to Shadowrun. Also, it'll be a nice change of pace
from Seattle, and there are many new circumstances to work with.

Finally, I was also prepared to run another Twilight adventure *Airlords of
the Ozarks* which is easily adapted to Srun terms. Has anyone else done
similar things (converted other game adventures to Srun)? To what degree of
success?
