Subject: | Opti mag vs Electro mag: how do they work? |

Optical Magnification is the insertion of special lenses into an existing eye
or cybereye that actually changes the focusing of the image, so it is a larger
image when it hits the rods and cones at the back of your eyeball.
Electronic magnification takes the normal sized image that is striking the
rods and cones of your eyeball and electronically enlarges it (like a copier
can enlarge a copy) before sending it on to your brain. That is why electro
mag gives a grainier image at long distances.
