I know their website isn't updated a lot, which made me wonder...

How is ordering through thier website?
Has anyone done so, and had any problems?
Has anyone done it, and gotten their order?

I have placed several orders through the FASA website. Typically I have
eventually gotten what I asked for. However, I have yet to place and order
and not have to recontact them about correcting some sort of error. For
example, while I got a confirmation notice that my order of a BABY for my
brother-in-law had been received and would be shipped out, it was never
sent. When I have ordered multiple copies of the same book I have usually
gotten one copy of each book, even though I was charged for the
mulitiples. When I have contacted them, however, they have sent me the
additional copies. Typically, my credit card bill shows mulitple charges
when I order from FASA. I have learned to keep a careful watch on this and
make sure that they credit my account only one less time than they place
the charge on it, but it is extra paperwork.

After all that, I would still say they are worth ordering from. I prefer
to deal with my local game shops, however, sometimes I am looking for
older material which the distributor no longer carries. In those cases,
FASA has generally been a good choice. Typically, things do arrive and
everything does get sorted out in time. The only time I had a long delay
in recieving any sort of response to a botched order was an order they
sent out before leaving for Gen-Con last year. In that case it took a
couple of weeks before they got around to reading my message, finding out
they had sent an incomplete order, and remedying the situation.

In short, they ususally mess something up but they are good about fixing
it the second time through.

Yeah. I haven't ranted on that topic in a while. I wonder why...

Um, it works...

Many people on this list bought their BABYs over the web (the limited
edition SR3 hardcover), myself included. No real problems (other than,
of course, the rush and their web site going down from too much
traffic)... ;-)

Again, yes, and yes. That's the only thing I've ordered from them,
though - the local game shop is on my way to my local gaming club,
so I find it's less hassle just to drop by...

It works, albeit slow at times. Altho I have never got anything I ordered
from them. Ever.

It's like a black hole for credit cards, it just keep taking but nothing
ever comes out.

*grin*

joking. It works out well, for me, at least. It takes a few weeks for the
thing to ship to you, but they send this nice confirmation email and
everything. :)

But then, I live in a civilized city as opposed to some hick-ville USA
(*duckflee!*)...=P J/k..

Sorry, in a wierd mood this morning. :)

I ordered about $100 worth of books from them last year. I did it over the
phone because the web page was under construction. I got a call back from
the lady telling me that I had ordered enough stuff to have a cheaper
shipping charge and then I got the merchandise the next week. I guess they
don't like the rest of you guys. :) I was suprised because when I ordered
the stuff I just knew the lady had done something wrong.
