What if it is a giant barrier wall of Orichalcum sealing somthing in. Or
keeping the rest of the world out. An alternate form of Keran?

Well.... The picture of the mine in the London >*spit*< sourcebook shows
stalagmites of the stuff, just standing there in the cavern.
