I dunno, but I'm happy. New publisher? More novels?
Less restrictions (I hope)?

Yo. Back from origins, and I'm still a bit brain fried. :/

The What's Up w/ Shadowrun Seminar was, as usual, interesting. Rob, Adam,
and Mike Mulvihill spoke a bit on various subjects.

New Stuff:

Sprawl Survival Guide was available at origins and should be in stores
within the next couple weeks. It's pretty cool, a must for newer players
and a good read for older.

Shadows of Europe will hopefully be available in time for Gen Con, and will
be in stores shortly afterward.

There will be a Shadowrun Character Dossier similar to the Green Ronin d20
Character Folio's. Basically, they'll be a comprehensive 16-page character
sheet that will retail at $5.00. Should be cool, and should be available
for Gen Con.

After that, Mr. Johnsons Little Black Book is still on the plate. Then in
no particular order:

Running Wild -- New book dealing with critters.
Loose Alliances -- Organizations and groups, was called SizthWorld.org at
one point.
Shadows of Asia
SOTA 2064

I think one or two others were mentioned, but I don;t remember them offhand.

The official web site will be getting an overhaul soon, as well.

Mike talked about SR Duels a bit. He mentioned that the 4th wave will have
some more "bad guys", such as Corp Sec Guards and a Shapeshifter.

There will be SR Duels novels. Steve Kenson is writing the first trilogy,
and the first book centers around newbie runner Kellan Colt (The Wizard
exclusive mail away fig) learning the ropes, and features all the Wave 1
characters except, I believe, Kyushi. When these will be out is uncertain,
as there are still some problems stemming from the Roc novel contracts that
FASA had and Wizkids attempting to set up their own publishing house.

Also, Duels won;t be doing any major plot or world changing stuff, so it
won;t impact the RPG on that level.

I think there may have been more, but I can't remember. Hopefully someone
else who was there can step in and fill in the blanks.

Thanks Bull, much appreciated! Does anyone know if there will be a full
transcript/edited summary available on the website? I don't suppose
someone there streamed it to an MP3 file we could get did they?
Ok, so the last is probably too hopefull, but you never know..:-)

Does this complement/is the same as the article in Games Unplugged?

Nope. It's a LOT of work and requires a LOT of file space to do that sort
of thing. It's possible it might be done again at Gen Con as it has in the
past, but generally with the smaller scale of Origins we don't bother with
doing up that much. Plus, i'm not sure if any of us really have the
recording capabilities at the moment to handle that.

>Does this complement/is the same as the article in Games Unplugged?
Err... I'm not sure what you're asking. Please clarify?

Lurking/Boo Scary is still pretty much on hold. I think some of what may
have been intended for Boo Scary is now a possible to appear in Running
Wild and/or SOTA 2064, but I'm not really sure yet.

More info will likely be incoming at GC.
