Lucifer Deck does have a brief section involving the Ork Underground. The
main character has to meet somebody down there or something along those lines. I
don't think it was all that informative though in terms of description.

There's some good references to the Ork Underground in the module
DNA/DOA.

The module's a 1st edition one, and now out-of-print. It make take
some looking to find it.

I've got it. But actually, IMNTBHO, the info on the Ork Underground is
kinda sparse: just a few roughly sketched sewer tunnels 'round the base
of the Aztech Pyramid & a D&D-type random encounter table...

Here's the Ork Underground info I received from "Bitrunner" on AOL. (Is
*he* still around, these days??!!) It add a bit more 'flavor' to the
text in the Seattle Sourcebook.

Note: all I could find was my hardcopy, so excuse the typo's...
(however, the lOWER cASE lETTERS are *his* doing, not mine.)

"if you want the real world information on the underground, her it is...
the Underground is located down near the waterfront, just north of what
will becom the Renraku arcology. the way it came about is this: in the
1800s, seattle was a city built around the lumber trade. lumberjacks
would bring the large tree trunks to the top of the hill and slide them
down the muddy hillside towards puget sound, where they would float to
where ever their destination was. this brought a lot of mud down to
collect at the bottom of the hill, and some would move into the city via
the roads. other things such as horse droppings and garbage thrown out
windows into the streets kept collecting and causing the streets to
rise. eventually, retaining walls were constructed to keep the dirt and
refuse from spilling onto the sidewalks and into store fronts. it still
kept getting higher and higher. eventually, the streets reached a level
where the second story of the buildings became the street level.
ladders were placed at the street intersections for people to get down
to the store fronts. ladies out for an afternoon of shopping had a hard
time climbing the ladders in their hoop skirts, and on rainy days
(often) the water would collect down below. therefore, the city decided
to top off the areas and what resulted was like a mall, where you could
enter from one building through their "lower level" and walk around the
block, where all the storefronts were.

some tunnels were dug between the larger, more popular blocks as well.
light was let into the area by thick colored blown glass set into the
sidewalks above. these are still there today, and i assume that as a
historical backdrop, they would keep a good deal of them on 2050,
especially in the areas that might cater to humans as well as the
underground community.

so anyways, the underground is basically a system of "tunnels" which go
around the perimeter of the city blocks, with some basements of new and
existing buildings serving a variety of functions. these tunnels have
been added to by the dwarfs, orcs, and trolls to create the network of
passages in existance in 2050, as well as the new sub basement levels
where they live and work. there are about 20 known enterances, and two
or three times as many secret enterances. there is one that is rumored
to come out somewhere in the basement parking levels of MCT North
America..."

I think his (non-AOL) handle was "ShivaSL."
