That'll teach me not to check my SR folder for 2 weeks (? classes
just started and I've lost all track of time)... Makes me glad I upped my
disk quota. :^)
Has anyone ever accumulated a bigger backlog? And read it all
;^)?
One of those informal list.surveys I suppose, haha...

I've heard of at least one person who ended up with a backlog of 5,000 or
so, and read them all. Can't remember who tho.

When I was working 70-80 hour weeks this fall, I ended up with at least
2000 messages in my RN folder, and that was after reading a few each day
that caught my eye.

I can't claim to have read them all, though. :-)

Wow if I get a backlog of a couple hundred I skim BIGTIME. But as of late
I have been keeping up with the list. Though the extended discussions on
the decking arn't all that interesting to me. But hey to each their own.

I have -- twice! For me this seems to coincide with our major
software releases at work.

During September, shortly after GenCon, I reached somewhere in the
neighborhood of 5900 unreads! Took me a dedicated weekend of skimming
to 'recover' from that load.

A bit more recently, before last Thanksgiving (when everyone was still
debating & picking apart SR3), I allowed my RN folder to accumulate a
staggering 7800 or so, which was about a single month's worth! (And
that's not even counting my then backlog of NERPS, PlotD, TK & SRCard
messages!) IIRC, I finally skimmed them all during that holiday, over a
period of two or three evenings.

--Fenris (who has ZERO unreads in all folders, for now...)
