OK, I'll give you that. That tends to be pretty sick. And at that point,
I'd seriously be wondering why the hell they're still running the
shadows. Of course, I can't really say much since I have a magically
active character that has a deck, was a sammy first, and has a rigger
emulation module. However, he also has business and negotiation skills,
as well as being a bartender and cook. I personally love having such an
eclectic character, because I can backstop for just about anyone. And
that, I think, is the whole point of generalization: so that if one guy
goes down, someone else can pick up the slack, albeit with reduced
capacity. In addition, I think it's great to be able to have someone
else who can shoot when need be, can assist in matrix research or light
decking, can drive when necessary, and can chuck a spell or disrupt a
spirit when he's gotta. Of course he's not going to be as good as the
Rigger or the Mage, but he's not trying to. He's trying to add
flexibility.
