I dunno, it's gonna be close. I turned 33 in December and seem to
remember that Spike is within a year of me.

Aw geez. The "Age" thread has reared it's ugly head. And I helped
bring it to life. If Tinner wasn't wasting <g> his time getting
married he'd have his Who's Who page up and running and we could avoid
the whole affair :)

What a tangled web we weave.

Tinner married?! Woah how did I miss that one. I don't hang out
on IRC nearly often enough. Maybe that's it. That or my mass

1985 for me (presuming you are talking high school).

1989 with my B.A. My husband graduated in 1989 as well, the scary part
was he graduated from high school that year.

**sigh** oh well, now that y'all have spilled the beans I suppose I can
admit to being 31 and very glad to discover that I'm not really the oldest
living gamer - even though it feels that way sometimes (our group is 31,
28, 27, 22, and 21)

Yep. :))

Of course, when he wants to pick on me, he is always quick to point out
that I have married a man only six days older than my baby sister - a fact
I still can't reconcile. (She ACTS so much younger . . . )

Oh well, at least he remembers Battlestar Gallactic, Battle of the
Planets, the release of Star Wars, Hogan's Heroes, and a dozen other
things that the rest of my gaming group has only heard of second-hand.

29 here. It seems that Sr has more of an attraction for older gamers than
other systems, we don't have the conglomeration of 15 to 21 year olds
that one would typically find in a gaming mailing list.

Why do I want to remember he's 20-someodd? I thought he was at
university, still looking for a real job.

Could be my cranky memory again. Wouldn't be the first time.

Of course, you realize that 1999 is the first year that Americans born
during the Regan Administration (the generation of Regan babies, or as
I like to call them, "Rabies") are old enough to vote? Lucky for us,
it's only State and Local elections this year.

Ah, interesting. Now this topic I can leap into.

ages span... 39 (Marvin), 33 (Perry), 31 (Duane), 30 (Me), 29 (Mike B.), 29
(Bob- those of you who met my friend at Gencon, know him), 28-9 (Greg), 27
(Brent), 24-5 (Jeremy), 21 (Jon Y.), 20-1 (Jon H.). Mike (yes, another Mike)
is what??? 36??? Johanna (once she's feeling better) is 24ish (I think).

Applications for the Elder's Retirement Resort can be lodged via me. For the
uninformed, you must:
a) have been on the list since it was on hearn (absences are permitted).
b) started playing Shadowrun in SR1.
c) be over 25. Exceptions to this rule have been made, but rarely.

Once the new list is fully functional, I'll construct a new wing on the
Resort. The conditions will be relaxed for the new wing thusly:
a) have been on the list since the itribe days.
b) started playing Shadowrun in at least SR2, but before 1997.
c) be over 25.

One of these days, I'll finish up the VRML model of the resort I'm working
quarter-heartedly on and whack it up on a web page somewhere.

As for my age... well, I'll qualify fully for membership in June this year.

Woo Hoo! I qualify for the new wing! I'm here on the itribe

I'm bothering 'cause I wanted to play around with 3D modelling, and VRML was
the easiest way to show off the results...

But I'm being very slack about it. I've got a standard room model, which I
can replicate infinite number of times, but I haven't done the pool, or the
games room, or the TV room, and I haven't even begun to try to track down a
panorama view of somewhere near the beach in LA...

What are you gloating about that for? You couldn't pay me enough to be
19 again...only one good thing happened to me when I was 19, and that
got undone only a few months later. Otherwise, it was hell.

But why gloat...?

I vaguely remember hearing something about them; since I'm likely to be

Okay, gotta ask. Is this common in every group out there? I know this has
happened in at least two different games sets/scenario's here. I'm not saying
this is bad. I am saying that for a moment, I thought I must have gamed with
Adam. And *that* I doubt.

The correct phrase is "experienced gamers". By the way 35 is not old, not
even close. I will be 24 for the second time this year (thats 48 for the
arithmetically challenged)and am the youngest in my RP group. Class of '70
(HS) and on the list since before the move to itribe.

Well, let me put in a bid early for the two rooms where the wings ajoin.
That way, my husabnd can have the room in the original wing, I can have
the room in the new wing and we can still visit frequently without wearing
out the carpet in the hall ways.

Just to make matters even more chaotic in the Great Search for Gurth, I
happen to have a picture of the great nameless and faceless wonder.
Took at it at Gen Con and let's just say the resolution is much better
than any of the ones that has been posted online. :) So ponder that.

And I know his real name. :)
And I ain't tellin'. :)

Played and ran SR1, was on the GEnie list and got the download of the
hearn list there, but could not post; playtested SR2 with my group,
played and ran SR2; enjoying the hell out of SR3! Have a hardcover of

Its not lurker training. The state legislature is in session so I had a lot of

just able to keep up with following the many threads and not much else.
