/ It has come to pass. I am now Thirty-Nothing.
I personally am enjoying getting older (I'm 33 BTW).
When I was young and life shit on me it didn't take much to completely
mess me up. And a major negative event took a long time to recover
from. And as far as good thing happening, I didn't know to truely
appreciate them (though I cherish those memories today :)
Now that I'm experienced I can dealy with life's minor negative events
fairly easily. Major negative events still suck, but I can deal with
and recover from those, and I know that (one week after the CHR tragedy
and I'm doing pretty well). I'm not afraid of life's shit, and in fact
welcome it so that I can learn from it. And when something good
happens I enjoy it to the fullest (well, I try to :) And I've learned
to take joy in the little things.
Think about it this way. When we play an RPG we usually want to play a
character that's an experienced and seasoned veteran. Yet we cringe
when we get older in RL. Why? :)
